okay...heres how i got stuck: i stumbled upon the sphinx while i was wondering around the enchanted sea area, talked to him, he asked me a question, which i answered incorrectly...he said i was close and gave me another guess...so i wandered off, figuring i'd find the answers later in the game (i hadn't done the skull castle at the time)....soooooo....now i've done teh skull castle and am ready to move on, but when i arrived back outside the temple...the sphinx is standing far away from his usual spot and wouldn't talk to me...i never attacked him and he wouldn't attack me....so i came on here, found a few posts from ppl who were also stuck found a few suggestions that one just kill teh sphinx and then you could enter.....so i killed the sphinx (after about 15 runs back and forth to the town to un-insanify my lame party members) got crazy experience for it, but he didn't drop anything...no key, no nuthin except a dart that someone stuck in him earlier....so now i'm standing around outside the temple with that stupid floating lock in my way and no clue as to how to get inside....theres a little pile of sand in front of the door, which i tried the pickaxe on to no avail.....does anyone have any idea what i'm missing here??
any help would be greatly appriciated!! saruman |

nevermind...i'm an idiot...i was assuming that i had to get something from the sphinx, but i was just going thru my inventory, trying everything on the lock, and forgot i had the staff o power...just opened the lock with it
figures, every time i get desperate enuf to post in here, i always figure out me problem within about 2 mins...erg...ah well, c'est la vie!! saruman |
