I m sick of wars, murders, kids chained, silly jokes, deers dead on a telephone poll, racism, argues, flames and so...

I'd like to see a thread full of joy and hapiness.

If something really pleasant happened to you, if you made someone happy, if you helped someone, whatever...if an aura of joy surrounded you for even a brief moment please SHARE and post here.

Now that is a great thread Masklinn !

Well, I rescued and adopted a cat two and a half years ago. Twice, because then the vet said he had the FIV virus (?, it is 'leucose' in French) and would probably die of generalized cancer a few years later - but he tried an experimental treatment and so far there is not any trace of that virus in Zebulon's blood anymore.

Agreed, that happened a while ago - but everytime I look at my cat I feel good.

Funny that - I can do personal and professional and familial accomplishments - but I am never happier than when I did something that made a human's or animal's life a little better ...

I've cooked dinner once a day and didn't ruin any of it for 8 days in a row now. Which is a small step for man, and erm... well, the rest of the saying doesn't really apply here. But for a lazy student like me, it's quite an accomplishment.

Well nothing much that is all that good has been happening at work or home lately - even the golf game has gone off - BUT I did smile when I read Moiraine's reply about Zeb. You never told me that story before Moiraine - I can still remember him stalking through the garden grasses above your patio, and wondering who the heck all those strangers were

Well, the something that happened to me was a while ago, but it was a good thing to me. I went to Paris, France two years ago with some cousins for a week. It was so wonderful. Everyone there was so nice and very helpful whenever we'd get lost or didn't know what to order on a menu. The museum's were great, and the city is beautiful. I wish we had such an appreciation of history and art where I am. We have museums (one of the best children museums in the country even), but it's nothing when you see what they have in Paris. Just walking down the streets, there was art all over.
So, the exposure to a different country and the great hospitality of it's people was a happy experience for me
