How do people do it

Almost every thread in this forum, someone makes a reference to such-and-such a character that they took through the game solo. And it's from the whole spectrum of classes too, not just tank-types. How do people do this? It almost frustrates me because I have a difficult enough time with my party of 4 characters.

A few things. First of all, since your character gets all the exp to him/herself, it levels much faster. Second, soloing is made much easier with experience-if you know where the good items, tough monsters, and powerful traps are, and how to obtain/deal with them, you'll have less trouble.

yeh you get to a stage where you just know most of the game by heart, I play all my games solo now and could do chapters 1-3 with my eyes shut, but beyond that is just a distant memory because i stop playing with that character wen i hit the exp cap (until i get ToB) so i now have a backlog of about 8 or 9 solo characters at max lvl in chapter 3, still waiting for me to get round to buying ToB
