Mouse, return flights Aberdeen-Luton about £24 return at the end of November!!

World Cup semi final maybe Aus v NZ - perhaps you'll be better off missing it Early morning kick off I'm afraid.
Well my world cup calender shows the game on the 15th as an 8pm kickoff, which is something like 11 am your time. It's not often you get your maths wrong, but I believe that I may have in fact scored a point this time

And before you ask, 10 am does qualify for early morning on a sunday!

I've PM'd some local B& B's.

Ok - this is an exercise in seeing if it is possible to make it from Heathrow to Enfield in time for the first rugby semi final. I will be landing at 06:40 am, so taking time to get my luggage (can take a while from a jumbo but it should be prioritised) clear customs, find my hotel, check in, and have a SHOWER - I think we are talking 9am. Best time would probably be 8:30 if things went very sweetly.

What time (locally) are you expecting the game, because Sydney will probably also switch to daylight saving in November. So what time are you expecting the game locally at your end - 10 am or 9 am?

If it is 9 am it is nae worth the bother, but 10am I might make the effort. I could cut a little time off by getting the express to Paddington then switch tubes at the Cross. I still think that may take an hour and a half though - what are your thoughts?

Average journey time from Heathrow to Enfield is 1h 40 minutes so I think you can count that out. The kick off is 10 am. I may be able to meet you in Central London if you want to.

Well there is still plenty of time to decide. Let's see closer to the day. Meeting up in London to watch the rugby could be a good idea as it saves time, but if you find you have plans then it is no big deal if you cancel - I will have plenty of time to catch up on the 2nd visit.

All depends if you want a token Aussie to take the piss out of if the unthinkable happens and we lo..

How little you know of London Davros. Pubs in Central London will be knee deep in Antipodeans on that day! I would be the token Englishman. Course, with a team like ours I'm bulletproof!

Perhaps we should go to this pub:

William Wallace
33 Aybrook Street, W1U

If you knocked this pub down and cut the bricks in half they would be blue inside (and some of them would have "ya bastard!" written on them too…). This pub is, if we step away from rugby for a moment, the London headquarters of both the Hibs and Celtic fan clubs…it's not faux Scots by any means and, when it comes to sport, these fans are, well, fanatical. In other words - if you're looking for a great World Cup experience and you're Scottish then step in. If, on the other hand, you're not Scottish then perhaps you might like to try somewhere else…
