I broke down and bought NWN Platinum. Lucky me, I bought the DVD edition. So, I have to wait 'till tommorrow until I can get the normal CD version. Just had a little question though... should I play this like I would BG II, or more like Icewind Dale, if you know what I mean?

its different from both as it doesn't have a party system.

You have henchmen that can join you and they do have there own quests.

You will find your own playing style howeer the BEST part of NWN is the online play. Check out the link in my sig for how to join us in Escape from Undermountain.

No can do for the online stuff. No internet for my PC, just for my mac. I'll have it in a couple months though.

No parties? So it's almost like your soloing it?

Not really soling it. In the OC you can have 1 henchman. You can also have familiars and animal companions.

In the Hotu Campain you can have two henchmen.

To an extent.

YOu can tell them how to act but they do there own actions.

You may tell them stay close, or only use missle weapons or concentrate on buffing or on spells.

It's a whole new experience, and as far as I'm concerned, a whole better experience online. I'd recommend playing around in the OC's a bit to get a feel for the game, though, as it does take some getting used to. I've played a lot of the other games, BG, BG2, TOB, and all the Icewind Dale stuff, but NWN's is simply the best, and simply better Multi-play.

Yes, I can see how it can take some getting used to. The walking around is the most convoluted thing I've ever seen. I'll have to get used to the henchman thing too. Then, after that, I've gotta figure out the toolset. Sheesh!

Why thank you!

Henchman question: can you change their armor and weapons and stuff?
