At www.gis.net/~yos in the characters section there is an improvment on the in game dragon!
A few changes I noticed are
1. Firkragg is faster
2. Firkragg now has about 300 hp
3. Firkragg is now very resistent to piercing
and all the other dragons are also stronger! Guarentted to make killing them more of a experience!

Great! Firkraag was such a push-over the first time through...just an annoyance, really, like those gnatty, little Liches..

I would make dragons more resistant to slashing and bashing weapons. Piercing weapons are what do the dragon in. Think "dragon lance"--knights always ride into battle against a dragon with a big piercer.

Oh, but a lance is crushing the skin not piercing it. Also I did make them more resistent to slashing.

In P&P Firkraag's breath weapon would be doing about 24d10+12 damage (or more, considering his age).

Ya know what?! No insult intended, but I thought he was a fine piece of work out of the box. I suppose the experience is really determined by the level that your party is at when you engage. I get the feeling that the plotted assumption is an encounter around level 10 or 11. Now, I suppose, if you tangled with him after your trip abroad you may find his talons less sharp and his breath a little more.. minty..? )

I understand your qualms and in fact when I first fought him at level 12 I had Huge fun. But now I can beat him so easily which is why I made the change thing.
