That's good advice, Saz!
I was always told it would be wise to start regular checkups at a doctor at about 30, but from about 20 years of age onwards you could do checkups yourself.
Just raise your left arm to check the left breast and the right one for the right breast. Feel your way over it making small circular movements and start at the armpit. If you feel any irregularities/lumps (esp. ones that you hadn't noticed before) you can go to your GP and ask him/her about it. Hope this helps....
Oh and Mistral, it doesn't matter what anybody thinks! If you feel more comfortable having a doctor check on you every once in a while, that's not paranoid, just sensible! Don't let other people's opinions about you influence you when it comes to your health!
