..I romanced Aerie earlier in my game, all the way to being lovers. Then she dumped me, which is no big deal, EXCEPT that I still have a quest in my journal to see Qualye. If you go to see him, and Aerie is not in the party, the conversation goes no further. So, does Aerie ever come back to see the PC? I have done the underdark and am now clearing out my accumulated quests before starting on the "Suldalessenar" quests/areas. No details please, just will I ever see Aerie again. TIA.

The quest that Quayle wanted you to do SPOILERS
¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ Is to help his old friend, Raelis Shai. (she´s the Woman in the playhouse, in the five flagons inn, who asks you to save Haer´Dalis). Anyways, you can get this quest, without talking to Quayle, and I don´t believe you get any more goodies or xp if you obtain the quest through quayle. And as for the leftover post, you can (thanks to knowledge obtained in a recent quiz) simply double click on the post to remove it.

Thanks. I have already rescued Haer'Dalis, put him in the party, found out once again that bards DO NOT rock, dumped him and am going back to Mazzy. Anyway, do you ever see Aerie again after she dumps you?

I think if she leaves due to romance issues (or other party issues) she's gone for good. You're actually not supposed to sleep with her. Even though she instigates it she gets upset after and the romance is over (tease
 ).
