Just to clear the air, I can say with all certainty after picking up a beautiful Elven girl at the bar last night, they have only hair on their heads!

The have no body hair below the eyes. What they have is only for aesthetic.

They were created by the elven gods, so they were never "monkeys" so they never had a need for body hair. They also don't have canines. This was said in the 2nd edition elven handbook, if I remember right.

[/QUOTE]Yes, it does mention the lack of canines and the reasoning behind the it being the lack of evolution. But on page 111 there is picture of a large battle between drow and surface evles and some of them have moustaches. Perhaps Loth gave the male drow facial hair to further distinguish them from their surface brethren. Only one other picture in the book shows an elf with facial hair, but I beleive it is a half-elf.

I still have no comment on the pubes though. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Well, elves think that facial hair is ugly and disgraceful, so if they did happen to get pubes I am sure they shave it off.
