I've purposely never had heroes or role models, and I'd never want to. What's the point? The best you're ever gonna be is second. No, I'm my own man.

I think it's good to have role models (NOT heroes!) for characteristics of yours that need work. There are a lot of my characteristics that need work so a role-model is something to aim for. Then there are some that don't need work so I'm my own role-model for those.

Mine would have to be the rythem and lead guitarists of Metallica. James Hetfield's (rythem) creativity with riffs and lyrics are 2nd to none in my book, and Kirk Hammet's (lead)solos are nothing short of incredible.

See, I want to do what my dad is doing (flying for FedEx) but I'm going to get that job by doing what my brother is doing (flying for the military).

I don't really have role models... I have an inner ideal I strive to become. So perhaps I'm my own role model.
But alright, I'll humor you for a moment. Can I pick fictional characters? Irina Derevko from Alias, Jahiera from the Baldur's Gate games, and Aunt Amy from Daria. Oh, and George Carlin and Christopher Lloyd.
I'll let you all figure out who they are and why I want to be like them.

I look to myself as a role model, bloody easy to meet expectations there
