This is pretty cool, apparently there have been sightings of them, when they were claimed to be extinct. i think the tasmanian tiger is the same thing as the tasmanian devil...

It seems that the link is as elusive as the legendary Tiger.

I think there is a reward for anyone who could prove that it is exist, maybe a photo of the real Tiger in the wild or the actual animal in captivity.

No the Tasmanian Devil http://www.dpiwe.tas.gov.au/inter.ns...AN-5358KH?open is quite different to the Tasmanian Tiger http://www.dpiwe.tas.gov.au/inter.ns...N-53777B?open.

As for the sightings - well people see abomiable snowmen as well - believe it when you see it . They are working on creating a new tiger from the DNA of dead ones though. Interesting project!

Didn't some scientists tried to clone these Tasmanian Tigers some while ago?

It's amazing the public response you can get from a German Sheperd and a can of spray paint .

The above quote comes from one of Geoffry Robinson's "Hypothetical's" a few ears ao where he put the leader of our countries Green Party on the spot with the scenario that a mate of his came up to him and told him he had pulled this exact hoax to stop a nearby mining venture.

If it loads, go to the very bottom and look at the left column, look for the Sci-tech link and go there, should say something about tazmanian tigers.

there have been "sightings" of the tasmanian tiger for years. unfortuantely I, personally, don't think it's around anymore. in order to have a viable breeding population that could avoid the cripling effects of inbreeding they'd need a lot more territory, which they simply don't have. just add another mark to the tally of what man has killed in our ignorance (yes, I'm a hippy)

but did you know we have not been responsible for the extinction of a single insect species? c'mon people! we've been putting up with mosquitoes long enough!!! lol

Heh, I'm a hippy too, well, partly hippy, i don't have that part, and you know what it is...

But yes, even if we did find a small group of the species, they would most likely die soon enough.
