Believe it or not the BeeGees wrote alot of good music for other bands. People liked it because it was free of the Disco/BeeGee taint.

Besides, how can you not like Bary Gibbs falsetto heheheh

I really don't like the Bee Gees, but recognise their talent as songwriters.
Here are some of the songs they wrote for other people:

Guilty - Barbra Streisand
Woman In Love - Barbra Streisand
Heartbreaker - Dionne Warwick
If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman
More Than A Woman - The Tavares
Chain Reaction - Diana Ross

The BeeGees made some okay music during the 60s:

Holiday
How Can You Mend A Broken Heart
I Started A Joke
I've Got to Get a Message to You
Massachusetts
New York Mining Disaster 1941
Spicks And Specks
To Love Somebody

Maybe not the best songs, but certainly better than Shadow Dancing and Stayin' Alive!

Their brand of 80s metal had the melodies following the chord progressions EXACTLY. The bassist was singing, so whatever notes he played on the bass (which were always the root notes of the chord), he'd sing.

No harmony. It was so IRRITATING to listen to! No harmony!
ROTFLMAO! Whitenoise! Are you sure it wasn't 'Whitenoize'?
What was that guy's name? Doug, I think? I can't believe you remembered them! So many painfull memories...

I'd have to add Craig McLaughlin to the mix - shocking cover of 'Mona' and a song that went
"Rock the rock, roll the roll,
Beat the beat, sooth my soul."

Also he didn't just come out under his own name, no, his act was called...
'Craig McLaughlin And Check, 1, 2.'

[/QUOTE]Yes that's not a good name. "The Y fronts" wasn't much better. Poor Craig. I met him once did you know? He'd seen the Doors song I did, and was bemoaning how Sony were releasing a demo song of his as the released version.

I heard it and it was the best thing he did, but the worst seller.

Did you know Moff produced him at one point?

Rock the rock...etc is possibly one of the lamest lyrics I've heard.

Do you remember when he played against (against, not with...) Tommy Emmanuel on TV, and came out shredding?

Ah well.

Now, Delboi... do you remeber FATAAAAAL DELAY (and BATMAN COLA!)
