At Cambridge and our less competent friend Oxford Uni, we teach General Engineering for 2 years and then specialise in the 3rd and 4th.
This means i am trained in all diciplines for 2 years. I am probably gonna be a e-guy as that is the only one with afuture

Well, I failed quite spectacularly to get into Merton for PPE at Oxford, so don't be too sad about that!

But now LSE has overtaken Oxford on the ol' league tables I think, so who had the last laugh!

Edit - to get the smily right...
Another Oxbridge reject here. I applied to Cambridge to do natural sciences, a couple of years ago, but my interview technique is awful, so I didn't impress them a huge amount (I did get pooled though). I think the course would have suited me more than straight chemistry, but it sounds like a hell of a lot of work.

I'm working back in my home country in Southeast Asia Of course, now that I'm working, it's no longer a matter of booking my tickets, grabbing a bag and going... there are 2 critical stages I've to go through: the vacation leave application and approval stage

I was just lucky on my day of the interview Since I was applying for the Mathematics Tripos, I had to solve 2 questions on the spot. One of them (gambler's paradox) was covered during my earlier school lectures (and I am soooo glad I did not fall asleep during that particular lesson ) and I managed to complete the other with some corrections from the interviewer. I also remember him mumbling about how Maths could be applied to the galaxy and me nodding sagely, hoping I looked convincing enough
