The first was better, X-2 made me feel like less of a man for playing it.

x-2 is a game that looks like the movie charlies angels full throttle(which i did NOT like by the way). and i think they should make a new game to replace this crap... i`ve been a fan of final fantasy since i could walk ( well.. almost), and x-2 was the worst of them!

well , now thats said ,i have played through FF1-
2 and 8-10. and i`m still a fan, so i think i must finish x-2 as well, regardless of how girl acting play style this is , it`s still a FF game after all. ..

so please, if someone needs to share their meanings about this game, post it here =)

thanks for listening to my complainings=)

I've played some Final Fantasies, and in 6 (Or 3) I got farthest. Eventually the infinite random encounters always scared me away. They still haven't changed the name then?

I liked X a lot better. X-2 just seemed more like a Final Fantasy aimed at a younger crowd. Some people have a visceral hatred of it, but I don't. I think SquareEnix took a risk, and they messed up badly on some aspects (the music and dialogue make me want to injure myself.) I never got all the way through it, because I have the attention span of a gnat, but the parts that I did play were fun, if a tad predictable. If you can get it bargain price, it's not a bad way to spend a few hours, but I would warn against expecting it to be one of those games that you play over and over (as I personally did with X).

I'm personally waiting for FFXII, I have a demo disc that came with Dragon Quest VIII, and seriously, it looks amazing.

X-2 was pretty, uh. I've played and beaten every Final Fantasy with the exception of FF11, and X-2 was far and large the worst experience of the lot. I'm kind of ashamed to have even played it.

wow some strong resentment for this game. i just bought it the other day new for like $15 now I am wondering whether or not i should even bother wasting the time to try and play it. for the sources here it sounds like a big NO.

Ah, go for it. I don't think you'll absolutely detest it, but it does have its shortcomings. The writing is, well, lacking, and the plot is not as compelling as X. It does have some good points (I don't mind the idea of dresspheres), and some bad. It's an average game that can keep you occupied for a little while, not forever, and hey, $15 isn't too bad for it.
