I'm trying to find a website that can provide me with a bit of description, history, and background for the major gods of the FR pantheon. Especially the history part. Is there something on Google I'm just not finding?

You'd do best if someone were to hook you up with the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book. *wink*
Other than that, I can't think of any sources.

The Player's Guide only has a brief description of each god and no actual history...it mentions a few famous events (a god doing something to another one etc.) and mentions who likes who, but other than that it's useless...
