Is that translated from an oriental saying Kakero? Cos we have a saying that means the same in hungarian, but it is worded as: "Don't run after a wagon that won't pick you up/give you a lift"

The American way of saying it is "There are plenty of fish in the sea." Not the same meaning exactly, but can/will be used in the same situation. I don't know if there is a Russian saying for it.
