long live m$ i upgraded to IE 6 and then it happened. I restored to IE 5 now but I still can't access it. I always went via www.nwvault.com but your links don't work neither it says:

Can't find server or DNS-error

last time i had a dns error i had to format my computer but it affected all the internet then, now it seems to only be the NWVault. Does anyone know how I can fix this. I can ping to the address, i set all security to lowest ad tried everything the error page gave as possible solutions, why can't I go there?

You could apply a hosts fix, but first try clearing all your internet temporary files.

Find the file nams 'hosts' or 'hosts.sam' somewhere under your windows folder. Add the line:

216.35.123.102 www.nwvault.com

to it and make sure its saves as hosts, not hosts.sam. Of course, this only helps if it really is a DNS problem.

Where can I change the time-out options, I've been through all the internet options but couldn't find it there?

I tried downloading netscape to see if that'd work but it didn't.

Situation right now:

-can ping
-no dns error as the hosts fix didn't have any effect
-different browser doesn't work

Things I can think about:
-internet settings wrong, though I tried at the settings that were suggested at the error page and at the default settings.
-timeout before it was loaded, but when I compare to other pages it should not be a time-out error but I can try

Not intending to hijack your thread at all but wondered if Andrewas could help me with a problem also.

My internet explorer recently started to not load images when I hit certain sites. The vault is one of them. The small icons beside scripts (the orange/gold ones that say 'New') do not load up, instead showing a small red X (the classic one ya know it). This happens on a few other sites too and like I said, has only started recently for example, sometimes avatars here at IW show up as red Xed boxes. I can easily click 'show picture' and it will then load up but It's kinda annoying. I have seen this before with my old system and wondered is it some kind of bug or even spyware related that gets inside IE after time. Running and purging spyware killing programs does nothing to help. Any ideas?
