'VAMPIRE' RAPIST JAILED FOR 12 YEARS

A "vampire" rapist who drank his victim's blood during a brutal sex attack has been jailed for 12 years.

Musician Luke Weekes, 21, subjected a mother-of-one to a nine-hour ordeal after she rejected his advances.

His victim was left with more than 60 injuries during an attack described as "gratuitous, unprovoked and unremitting" by Judge Timothy King.

Snaresbrook Crown Court heard the woman was ordered to slice open one of her fingers so Weekes could suck at the wound.

He told her: "Now you're in my veins and this is for life."

He raped her, whipped her with her own belt, hit her repeatedly with a bottle, smashed a chair across her back then beat her with one of its legs.

The victim said: "I thought I was going to die, and hoped it would not be a long death. I felt powerless and exhausted. My blood was on the walls and the sheets."

Judge King dismissed Weekes's claims that the victim's injuries were due to her falling down the stairs.

He said: "Anyone, such as myself and the jury, who has seen the pictures and blood splats can only find such an explanation laughable."

After the attack, Weekes accompanied the woman to University College Hospital, refusing to leave her side.

It was only when she managed to convince a doctor she needed to speak to her alone, that the victim was finally able to reveal she had been raped.

Police were called and he was arrested.

Weekes denied any wrongdoing.

A jury unanimously convicted him of one charge of rape, two of indecent assault, as well as single counts of unlawful imprisonment, causing actual bodily harm and outraging public decency in January this year.
Here is the article.

Twelve years isn't enough.

Maybe it is if his cellmates find out what he did.

I don't want to spark a death penalty debate, but this is a candidate, IMO. A vicious, violent sex crime that leaves terrible mental and physical scars.

Buy WHY did this idiot stay with the victim? Oh well, rapists have their own special sentence in prison. This guy will make some group of thugs a really nice prison bitch.

I appreciate that he is sick and twisted and probably has some mental problem. But, Im with Timber, the woman could have easily run away, instead, for some weird reason (maybe fear, maybe something else, who knows) she didn't. Hmmmm.

No, no, she didn't stay with him, HE stayed with HER. According to the article, he beat her up pretty bad for 9 hours, then went with her to the hospital. A solicitous rapist and woman-beater.

Somehow I don't think she was in any shape to run away.

What a sick freak.

I agree with Aerich that 12 years isn't enough - he obviously has some sort of mental condition and it isn't going to heal itself in prison, so he'll be right out there doing it all over again.

I can't believe that he denied it! There is absolutely no chance in the world of getting yourself out of his mess. He's only prolonging his sentence. Then again, maybe he didn't think he did anything wrong. Maybe his mind is so messed up that he doesn't know what he's been doing.

Imagine him out on the streets when he is out of prison. Hell I was against the death penalty before, now I am all for it.

Shouldn't he be in a mental institution, rather than a prison?
