HELLO everyone! This is Cloudbringer with an official Cloudy Howdy to all you new members of Ironworks! And to anyone who may have been on IW but just found their way to the Darkstone Forum, Howdy to YOU too!

I'm so sorry I haven't been here in a while, but things transpired to keep me tied up lately.

I am a regular on the General Discussions Forum as I *hangs head and whispers loudly* have only got through Ch 2 of BG2, having been sidetracked by beginning an online version of it with friends, re-starting an online game of IWD (which I HAVE beaten! ) and this thing called General Discussion....it's insidiously addictive! I haven't played Darkstone, but it sounds like fun!

I'd like to invite all of you to visit the General Discussion Forum. Add your ideas, find out about fellow gamers, share something with us! Who knows you may have people wanting to check out Darkstone! I know that when large numbers of Wizards and Warriors forum members came into General Discussions quite a few of us went to try W&W! The base membership of GD came from the Old BG2 board and we love meeting new people! My goal is to integrate us a bit, get us all part of one big Ironworks community!

And once again, Welcome to Ironworks, and May all your Adventuring be Spectacular!

We Darkstone addicts are a generally shy and retiring bunch. I would guess that the newbies are currently in a state of mute awe and admiration, overcome by your innate Cloudomniscience Give them time lol.

Okay, I'm one of the old Dark Stone players who bought the game to see me through 'till Diablo II came out (I then spent three years waiting, got bored, bought some other games, occassionally returned to DarkStone and once more endured the terrible DS economy). I don't generally brag about it, it's just that when it came out I decided to play multi player. So I got on the good old hinternet and tried to play fair with people, only to discover that they had all downloaded the latest two patches. By the time I'd managed to get that patch another one was out, etc, etc, etc. So I got bored and just played it alone a lot. I recently downloaded all of the patches so that I could mess around with the skinning (in order to play a fighter with a beard etc). I'd love to play this game multiplayer but there's a big lack of HD space and people out there. Shame but I still play it from time to time.

Try here http://aldervista.de/darkstone/index...er&lang=en&ad= or Gamespy Arcade for on-line Darkstone. Believe it or not we old-timers still play and there seems to be a lot of newbies out there

Happy hunting!
