Personally I think there is a lot to be said for a Steakwich; a great combination of something everyday, and something special. Ideally it is served on thick newly baked crusty bread, with onions and a small amount of horse radish source. :lickslips:

Lots of thin-sliced roast beef with a little Italian dressing poured over it on one half of a sub roll, provolone cheese on the other half...broiled until the cheese toasts. Eaten topped with cold, crisp lettuce, thin-sliced red onions, and cut in half.
Turkey and bacon or chicken and bacon made the same way is great too and you can always skip the Italian dressing and add some mayo with the lettuce and onion. Then there are (hot)Italian Sausage meatballs, topped with thick sauce and mozarella. Drools |

Coier Don Bleu, It is named after the finest cooking academy in france, it consists of chicken stuffed with ham stuffed with cheese stuffed with more chicken stuffed with ham stuffed with ham stuffed with cheese stuffed with chicken stuffed withi ham... all in all it takes 4 whole chickens and a large sum of ham and cheese to peice the 7 layer sandiwich togehter and cheap imitations usually only run for 2 or 4 layers -_-....
Anyway, I've eaten that in France and ILl tell you there's no sandwich like it on earth! The way the chicken is lightly breaded and stuff. You can have it served on bread or just eat it with a knife and fork, In Ireland their version of it is picked up and DUNKED into a deep frier for 20 straight minutes, then you get this huge clump of fat... that you have to EAT THROUGH just to get to the bread, meanwhile the good stuff is hidden deep inside and is practically unreachable due to all that freakin' fat So if you want a real Coir Don Bleu go to any country in Europe, *France Italy or Germany seem the best choices* And order yourself up some CoirDonBlue! its got the same name everywhere you go But don't try it in Ireland!!! lol.. I can tell you that from personal experience! OH and if you're in america, get it from a french resturaunt, NOT BENNAGINS (Bennagins to you EU folk is an American Chain of resturaunts that have an Irish-themed menue and DeepFried CoirDonBlue is on there it's just under a differint name -_-...) |
