I just started a new game as 1 and omg he looks like such a fool! if he had a hat with a bell on top he'd look just like a jester. Anyway I was wondering do cloaks or anything change their appearance? in bg2 you could have cool wizards with a cloak and quarterstaff but mine right now looks like a prat in that outfit and cant even hold the staff right. Also in bg2 there were useful continegncy spells, does nwn have them? if not its gonna be annoying. I saved going a wizard till after doing it with a fighter cause it looked the most fun but sofar I'm not impressed

As you find robes and such, they will change the appearance of your character. You'll also find helms that appear. Cloaks don't appear on your characters model.

what about the contingency spellls? I take it there not in the game? no plans to have them in a patch or anything? casting 1/2 a dozen protection spells every time I rest is annoying
