I'm talking about the board game. If you still have your queen, two bishop, two knight, two castle. But your pawn manage to go all the way to the end of opponent square. what can he become?

Nothing. Game's over because you don't have a king any more.

Assuming this isn't a trick question ....
Whatever piece you want, except the King. Pawning adds a new piece to the game, doesn't replace a lost one. Look here: Chess Rules Website Quote:

On another note I feel sorry for whomever is playing against someone who still has all their beginning pieces *and* manages to get pawns across the field. Sounds like over-kill! Just put em out of there misery already!!!
Unless the goal is too surround the king with multiple queens...thats what I call rubbing it in!!!

Yup. That is all correct. Though note that for this particular reason, it rarely happens. Your opponent has either been killed, resigned or sacrificed a piece to get rid of this pawn. Rarely does anyone let you get a pawn down there and vice versa. If they do: 1) Watch your king as he might be launching an attack taht will surely decide the game 2) You should try and finish the game off without your extra Queen to improve your chess tactical skills 3) You should play someone quite a bit harder

When a pawn does get to the end of the board it is almost always turned into a queen with one exception. Occassionally someone may wish to turn it into a knight.

wow you must either be great at chess or playing against a very bad player who has never heard of the game in his or her life. Not too lose any of the main pieces and get a pawn to the other end is quite an acheivement, just go ahead and put him/her out of his/her misery. haha
