Hi!
I read that a character can take any role only once! And what he/she didn't learn in the first role he will not learn in the second if not available again. But does this also go for the initial roles? Like when I am a Warrior who can (following the manual) learn sun and stone spells. Later I move on to lets say Warlock, who can learn moon and demon (black?) (dark?) (I do have a german manual) spells. If I havent learned all the sun spells by this time I can't lean them anymore ??? So what do I have to learn before taking the next role? And is it a good idea to take new roles relatively early in the game (Lv 3 Party right now)? |

Hi Sid!
Changing roles affects how you learn. You can continue to learn spells from a previous character type but at half their level. Best rule of thumb is to leave magic users in the class they currently are until they reach about level 14 and have learned all the most important spells available before switching them to another class. For the non-magic users you can change classes much sooner with no difficulties. Check the BEST TIPS thread for more hints on developing a character! Wyv |
