Whew, just got back from pacing Galadria on her morning run. It's hard to keep up with that woman even on a bicycle. So, how is everybody? Jeez, I gotta take a shower, I can't stand myself.

Glad to hear PieStrider had a nifty birthday bash!
I am feeling positively yukky today. I think it's allergy induced but I feel like I've got a head/chest cold. UGH! One funny thing, though..last night I was playing IWD2 and an Orc witch doctor charmed my half-orc barbarian. My Paly started to attack him and I moved her away and got my cleric to re-charm him, after which he wailed on the Orogs and such for me. But then when the baddies were all gone, he went after my Paly! LOL She ran around for a while til I finally rested them to clear him up. LOL

LOL, that's a great tactic, Cloudy. Sorry you are feeling poorly. I am playing BGII right now with a three person party, just my pally, Viconia, and Imoen. We were in Watcher's Keep, level 5, and my pally got Charmed, and was beating up on Viconia (no joke with Carsomyr +6, and she is still evil, remember) so Imoen Mazed my pally, and by the time he got out, he wasn't Charmed any more. Good morning, everyone. Really good mild weather, here. Time to open the windows!
We went out window shopping yesterday (a reasonably fun pastime) and Macy's already has an extensive Christmas display set up. The holiday is 3 months away and they are already trying to get the jump on shoppers. Are they going to keep pushing the retail season earlier each year? Will they set up displays the week after Labor Day next year? Eventually they'll just keep a corner dedicated to Christmas active all year long, so you can get started planning for the holiday season just after your tax return comes in. Have you ever just had a seat and watched people shop in a mall? It's really strange. Many of them have this partially glazed look in their eyes, focusing on the store that is their next destination and not looking what is in front of them. The worst ones have that glazed look while chatting on their cell phones: "yes, I'm here at the mall just doing some shopping. Right now I'm in front of the Disney store and I saw Marsha coming out. We chatted for a bit about what new clothes her daughter had. She looked really fat in that dress." I'm not cynical, am I? Hi, Jen. Waiting for you to post in HT, but no hurry. LS, you must be having a very good weekend.
Azred, it is, as you say, gorgeous. I had to ride behind Galadria as she ran ten kilometers. I am tireder than she is, and I rode a bike. [ 09-29-2002, 12:22 PM: Message edited by: Attalus ] |
