How come when i fight a lich and cast breach on it by all 3 of my casters, none of them work, and none of my party's attacks are getting through??? Than a few minutes into the fight after the lich has ravaged my party a little, suddenly weapons start to work on it?

The lich may have Improved Mantle cast, which needs a powerful spell protection remover like Khelbens Warding Whip, Ruby Ray or Spellstrike to remove. It never hurts to cast Remove Magic, either.

Ok, i was using Carsomyr, a +5 sword, and it wasnt working on lich. Improved mantle works on all swords except +4 or better, also breach is supposed to remove improved mantle and all combat protections mentioned in book at once.

The programmers provided Liches with an "item" which give them immunity against spells of level 5 or lower, so Breach will never work.

Breach does work on Liches, you just have to remove their spell protections first. sometimes it takes three or even more Ruby Rays or the like to finally get a Breach through.
I find myself often not even bothering with removing a Lich's protections, just shower him with Abi-Dalzims...

Perhaps you are referring to somewhere in the fight - the lich has protection from magical weapons as a contingency. (not even Carsomyr would work)

The lich has all resistance to spells of 5th level or lower, though I'm not sure about sunfire?

Thanks, that would answer my question, the fact that liches have resistance to spells lvl 5 and lower, that explains everything.
