Finished the game. One of the greatest achievements of my meager life. Want to thank everyone here for the help. Online game forums are one of the bright spots on the Web, and this one is a stellar example of that. See ya 'round, I expect. Bye for now.

Congrats on finishing the game, Sig! The bards are already spinning their tales of your glory...
And Packrat, don't you think it's a little... sinister... to push something so addictive on to him, so soon after he's defeated Lord Cet? I mean, talk about supplying the first one for free... You think slipping a little Drudanae into his drink is going to make him stay with it? For those not following this, follow the link in Packrat's post. All will become clear...

Thanks for the pats on the back, guys. Not a romp of pure enjoyment, but I'm glad I did it. Some parts are quite challenging, or frustrating, and a lot of tedium, with all the maintenance on 6 characters, all the identifying and repairing, going through all the chests, and so forth. That's the thankless, unglamorous, drudgery part of saving the world, I guess. I did basically enjoy the Shrine of Anephas and Pyramid of Cet go-throughs, and the Sunken City wasn't too bad. Every time my party was almost out of air, we'd hit an air pocket or break the surface of the water. Don't know if I just kept lucking out or if the game fudges that for you, as long as everyone has underwater helms and breathers equipped, but, if it's the latter, that's a rare, player-friendly element in the game. I don't know about "Divine Divinity." The view is too isometric for me. I wish there were more first-person view games. I may give "Morrowind" a go, but will be taking a few months off from big, new-to-me games. There's a few good-looking mystery games I want to play, and I have an 8th playthrough of my favorite, "Lands of Lore III," in progress, if I feel the need to "dole out some justice," as Copper would say. Appreciate the camaraderie. Keep the home fires burning here in the forum. Bye again.
