Let's see
Fried chicken is the most commonly ordered food in sit down restaurants in the US. - dunno The Rottweiler is the dog most responsible for human deaths. the golden retriever is the dog least likely to bite people. - Both true Ireland really is the same size as Lake Superior. - really dunno Madrid is the highest capital city in Europe. - probably Monaco has the shortest coastline in Europe. - lol the sheep-to-human ratio is highest in Australia. - true IMHO Americans on average eat 18 acres of pizza everyday. - I think so. You are more likely to be killed by a Champagne cork than a poisonous Spider. - O...K, that's weird... Cat's Urine glows under a blacklight. - ?? doubtfull Winston Churchill was born in a ladie's toilet during a dance. - watever Parasites count for 0.01% of your body weight. - no, just no 3 people die each year testing if a 9v battery works on their tongue - I really really really doubt this one 142 people were injured in 1998 by not removing all pins from new shirts - not 58 people are injured each year by using a sharp knife instead of screwdrivers. - not 31 people have Died since 1996 by watering their Christmas tree while the fairy lights were plugged in - people must yet reach that level of stupidity 19 people have died in the last three years believing that christmas decorations were chocolate - yeah, right... NOT! Hospitals report 7 broken arms this year after cracker pulling accidents - A what? Hell no. 101 people since 1998 have had to have broken parts of plastic toys pulled out of the soles of their feet - much much more... 18 people had serious burns in 1998 trying on a new jumper with a lit cigarette in their mouth - erm... wtd? A massive 543 people were admitted to A&E in the last two years after opening bottles of beer with their teeth - made up, there are more stupid people 5 people last year were injured last year in accidents involving out of control Scalectrix car - don't think so 8 people cracked their skull in december 2002 after falling asleep while throwing up into the toilet - Nah. 85% of statistics are made up on the spot! - Probably!

If there's one thing I've learnt in life is...
Never understimate the stupidity of a human being Admittedly some are WAY out there, but a fair share of them (particulary the injury related ones) are believable because they are so unlikely to occur. For whatever sense that last paragraph made...and with that I bid y'all goodnight! [ 10-06-2004, 05:50 PM: Message edited by: Sigmar ] |

Heh heh heh... it's amazing what kind of statistics are out there... unless people are lying about the statistics?

I didn't make them up, I found them all together on another site.
Still may not be real though. |
