We hosted our court Christmas party last night. It was a really good time! We had 17 people show up, which was everybody except the people in number 5 and 10 (no math questions coming up) and the new couple behind us.

The lady in number 5 is in hospital. The couple in number 10 came over to say they had other commitments, but brought a bottle of red wine.
It turns out, so did almost everyone else! My wife and I really don't drink alcohol at all. We now have an open bottle of red and an open bottle of wine and 4 that are not even open yet!

With a degree of fear, I ask my fellow Ironworkers; what should I do with all?

Regifting works. You've got 4 presents for people who do drink. Maybe the lady in number 5 would like one to celebrate with when she gets home.

Or wait a week and have a court New Year's party...

I was actually thinking of the New Years thing. I was joking about it at church today. It's a tough thing. I don't mind people drinking, but there's always those times when it goes too far. I don't want to be a contributor to that.

I think you could definitely regift them if you don't want to drink them yourselves. Regifting can be skeevy if it's a present that someone has bought especially for you and has put thought into it and so on, but a bottle of wine is a generic gift, and not really a gift at all in this context, more a contribution or thank-you for hosting the party. So you could certainly give them to other people who would appreciate them more than you.

If you distill it a bit you can use it as fuel.

Send it to me. Giving wine to a Wiccan this time of year is, erm, a blessing for good fortune in the year to come, I swear.
