I recently received the quest to obtain a Longtooh hide from Skull Island. I went north to the island, mapped out all of it, and found no Longtooth to my dismay. After returning to Roon several minutes later, I found 3 longtooh stuck in the Roon gate. I killed them with AE spells, but received no hide (or the hide dropped behind the door where I could not find it).

Do Longtooth spawn just like all the other mobs in the game and I simply must get lucky and find one or are these beasts special and spawn only upon assignment of the quest? I'd like to get the treasure if possible, please help if you can!

Thanks,

Dagan

Longteeth are a normal W&W animal but not too common. You may have to trek quite a bit over the sands surrounding the Enchanted Sea and visit other islands to encounter one who will oblige by dropping a skin. I've found them on both east and west coasts in addition to Skull Island.

Just in case it helps, I usually find mine in the Leaperchaun area before you get to Anephas' Shrine

Better yet, I understand you can even steal a hide right off the back of one!!... well, once you find one, of course! Try that Before you kill it. I understand it's a good method for shells on crabs also.

Oh and just in case you have summon creature, you can use that spell (of course in the area of ishad nha) and chase it down after you killed your attacker.

It might just work....

Welcome to the board, Dagan!!!

It is a bit misleading when Talrik asks for a longtooth skin from Skull Island. It doesn't matter where you get the skin. I have even collected the necessary skin while talking to Talrik!

Hope you have found your's!
