here's an interesting spread bet available for tomorrow's game. It's called the Elton Jonny bet and is mainly based on the performances of Elton Flatley and Jonny Wilkinson. All the categories are named after Elton John songs.
An Elton Flatley and Jonny Wilkinson Special

THE LION KING -
25pts if the Lions win the match<
I'M STILL STANDING -
25pts if both Elton and Jonny start AND finish the match
MADE IN ENGLAND -
25pts if an English man is Man of the Match
ELTON JOHN AND KIKI DEE GEE -
25pts each Elton Jonny successful drop-goal
SATURDAY NIGHTS ALRIGHT FOR FIGHTING -
25pts each sending off / 10pts each sin bin
GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK WALL -
10pts each Lions try

The spread is currently 75-80 points so I think I'll buy at 80 for £3 a point.

Going away for the weekend so I won't be able to gloat when we win.
(I actually think Aussies are still ahead for lots of small reasons, like 8 injuries).

Back on Monday to face or play the music.

Gee DONUT,

Think of all the GOLDEN opportunities they missed with the Elton Johnny thing

1) GOODBYE ENGLISH ROSE (no disrespect intended to Diana by the way, but how could you go past that title ) 0.01 point per disappointed Lions supporter that walks out of Stadium Australia empty handed

2) DON'T LET THE (GOLDEN) SUN GO DOWN ON ME - 5 points for every time we manage to catch a Lions back at the rear of a ruck

3) DON'T GO BREAKIN MY HEART - 0.00001 points per disppointed Lions supporter watching the devastation back in the UK

4) SORRY SEEMS TO BE THE HARDEST WORD - 10 points for each time that Dawson says, sorry guys, I messed up again

5) ROCKET MAN - 25 points for each time Joe (The Rocket) Roff waltzes through the thin red line and plants the ball over the line.

(Gee, I hope we win the game now )

Grojlach - how can I break this to you. The Netherlands beat Ireland by two runs in Toronto yesterday and you have qualified for the 2003 Cricket World Cup Finals.

With a population of about 16 million and only .0001% being interested in cricket you have qualified with only 16 players. Fantastic achievement mate.

Way to go Grojlach - I bet you must be real proud of your boys - can you name me a few of the stars of the team, so that I can research their achievements.

Gee Donut,

Real disappointed about the lack of feedback on my Elton Johnny titles - some of my favourite songs there .

Well I suppose "girding your loins" might be today's action - tomorrow you could well be "dirging your Lions" .

Thanks Donut,

Well I better get some sleep now - playing golf tomorrow. The good news is that Stuart O'Grady still leads the Tour de France, and Jarrod Moseley (local Mandurah boy) is doing well in the Scottish Open. Talk to you tomorrow - oh, that's right, you don't post on the weekends. That's you and Staraflur who both say you won't be about tomorrow. What's the betting that if the lions win, I find you both sitting right here on this thread waiting fo me and Memmsie to show .
