Nothing too drastic or overly powerful. They are, after all, merely apprentices. Go easy on your poor students.

Hm.. I've always played as a barbarian, so I don't know what you're talking about.. Is this perhaps involved in the fact that the Planar Sphere can become your Stronghold when you're a mage? Please tell me more, and I might consider starting a new game of BG2 as a mage

The dagger and the scroll of Abi Dalzim. You shouldn't allow them to try the final task (unless you are evil and doesn't care if they explodes).

I took the wand they make for you which is surprisinfly usefull
the scroll of Abi Dalzim and the ring of wizardy.
The first two worked smoothly. However the third caused an explosion that killed the two of them.Ah,well they couldn't have been good mages anyway...

I chose the wand, the scroll of Abi Dalzim and told them not to do the last one. They all live that way.
