You presume that in all of God's wanderings and discussion with Adam and Eve that he never elucidated, to both Adam and Eve, as to what he meant by "die." Remember we do not have the full transcript of all of their conversations. Secondly, I believe that earlier I pointed out that while the translations are very close they are not perfect. Perhaps you speak Aramaic or Hebrew and would like to tell me what other ways the word that is translated here as "die" also translates and if there is any possible translations left out. We have already visited this issue in relation to Greek. I know this is not beyond you.

Actually, Onthepequod, my knowledge of Hebrew & Aramaic are more limited than my knowledge of Greek, and I never claimed to be a Greek scholar, either, lol!
But I will get back to you on the points you make when I have done my best to do as you ask.
I'm busy compiling an answer to someone else at the moment, though, in another thread, so WATCH THIS SPACE!

Fjotsdale: I didn't take offense to what you were typing. I was just trying to explain my viewpoint. I found out a long time ago that religion can cause hurt feelings, so have tried not to take anything as an attack. Wars have been fought over people's beliefs and I have seen a fight when I was in grade school that started from religion. That's mainly why I was saying about tolerance or being open to other's opinions, because I don't think there is one specific answer. I have always considered you a friend and will continue to do so until you say that you no longer wish to be one.

Larry: Thank you very much for some of the information you have shared with us. I have been looking for a church that has the same basic beliefs that I have. Thank you as well for providing the link. I've been really busy lately and haven't been able to check it all out yet, but so far it seems pretty good.
