I'm in the underdark. There are three portals with elementals that come out constantly unless... Anyway, I was told this was part of a quest. How do I get that quest?

You need to buy a freedom scroll and use it inbeetween them, in the middle of the triangle. some wizard guy comes out, do as he says then kill him and youi get some nice scrolls and a special helmet

Thanks guys!! One question though, How the heck did you figure that one out!!??
Probably from someone else right? Well then, how did they figure it out?? Normally you don't just run around casting freedom everywhere. That'd be kind of a waste of a powerful spell! ------------------ Let's get'em guen! Quote:

. . . . . . . . . I think there's a lich in that box thing in the underdark that casts maze or somesuch, and maybe freedom was cast to free a party member and this other mage appeared incidentally? |

The dwarves tell u that there was a battle and a mage was imprisoned in the cavern north of them. So u just move up bit and cast it and hope that its the right spot
