V
*There is a village on an island, which is in the middle of a large lake. Ever since the villige was built ( long ago, before there were airplanes) there was an old tractor there, which the farmers would use to plow the fields. It was passed on through many generations of farmers. The one who had it now was a man called Farmer Joe, yet his real name was Joseph Jaegenshneider Man Jensen. One day, at an old shcoolhouse on the warm beach, a strapping young lad stepped up to the schoolteacher, (a hag of a woman) who was discussing the evils of newspaper comics and asked, "Where did farmer Joe's tractor come from?' The old schoolteacher didn't know, because she lived here before the town was built, and did not recall any tractor being brought in by boat, there was no factory on the island, and of course there was no such thing as an airplane of helicopter back then. The children laughed and made fun of the fact that the intelligent, wise old lady did not even know where simple-minded farmer Joe's tractor came from. For that, they all got a sound whipping and were sent to bed without any bread.*

The question is:
Where did farmer Joseph Jaegenshneider Man Jensen's Tractor come from?

Ive read this one before somewhere else and replied to that, haven't checked if the answer was right though. So i'll reply the same thing here: They built it on the island.

Well if it's in the middle of a lake he could of drove it on there before the lake flooded to make the island.
Or he drove it over the frozen lake.

And oldie but goodie nonetheless.

theres no bridge?
and as for the boat; so what if she didnt recall it; maybe thats how it got there - memory is faulty.
and where do they get gasoline to run the tractor anyhow?
and who repairs it when it breaks down if there are no spare parts since there is no factory

the answer? hrm...
well, how about all of the islanders are incredably powerful telepathic beings
and so one day long ago the greatest of them imagined a tractor
and it appeared

I think Bokken's second answer is the right one!

Yes Bokken, it was driven across the frozen lake! Remember that the town was built on the island, and that the tractor was brought over as soon as the town was built. In order for it to be an island, it would have to be in a body of water, so the lake could not have been dry.

There was no bridge either.

You Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
