1:I was just wondering if anyone here continues their game after one of there members dies ? This probebly wouldn't be anything to worry about if u can bring them back to life, but for me, i always restart what i have just done if someone dies... (or are there enough NPC's to just keep going?)

2: Who is your favourite class, and why ??? (i cant really answer this because i havn't finished the game yet and ive only tried Mage and Paladin)

Start the debat !!

unless it is a really big killer battle, I always restart if someone dies...
It may be concieved as cheating, but I just can't except going on without a crucial party member...

My favourite class is probably fighter/mage, or the assassin...
The fighter mage is great, because he/she is very versatile, and can also get the best of both worlds (Might & Magik)

I almost always re-played until I got my own raise dead spell. Now with Harpers call and Heal, death isn't such a big thing.

yeah thank goodess they din't apply the ressurection rule form Pnp! many caracters would have constitution scores of 1 and Arie, Viconia would be un-revivable since they are elves.

well. i had jahiera and aerie in my party and had them memorize a total of 4 raise dead/harpers call. so i didnt really care. after the battle i would just revive, re equip and rest until healed. done

With scroll of resurrection and clerics in my party, I always play the "death" right through. Of course, there are exceptions: 1) NPC dies as a result of critical hit, I don't have glue to put the body parts together (hence reload), or 2) a specific NPC gets turned into stone (ARGH!!!) and leaves my party after I turn the NPC from stone to fresh (hence, reload).

As for favorite character, my favorite is either cavalier or berserker/mage. I used to play paladins (specifically cavaliers), they are pretty well rounded characters through out the game. One reason due to Holy Avenger. But later I realized the importance of magic, and after some misfortunes with Kangaxx, I've decided to create a berserker then dual him to a mage at level 12. Berserker is one of the better fighter types in the game (not as much damage as Kensai, but still a decent tank), he is immune to spells like maze and imprisonment once he is enraged and he can wear armor. With the Bladesinger (elven chain), my berserker can always have a decent armor class while being able to cast magic. The last time I played him he had Crom Faeyr in his off hand and Celestial Fury in main hand, he can deal average damage well above 20s per hit.

well, In all the combibations I've tried my favorite is the Swaschbuckler followed by the assain.

My swachbuclker's ac was so low that bearly anyone of anything could touch it. But the assasin I never used hide in shadows as much as with him many mages fell to my longsword and lolth clerics learned that Lolth dosen't protect them from a poison dagger from the son of the lord of murder

death isn't that big of a deal to me, unless they blew up as a result of a critical hit. they die i resurrect, they die again i resurrect again. no biggy.

as for character i've always like thieves, especially assasins dualled to fighter when they have 5x backstab damage, they rock against unsuspecting mages, i also like the monk...i passed the game with him the first time.

You can raise dead, and at least in BGII they ignore the rule about elves being non raiseable. Anyway Compaired to the PnP AD&D that I grew up playing the BGII game is deadly, evil, and a massive pain. Not that I mind this. I have cheeted a little and in BG, IWD, BGII I used the game cheeter and added "A tome of massive death raising". So if Minsc runs up and gets killed being the nutcase ranger we all know and love, we just raise em. Besides, Boo is way too young to avenge us. When someone gets chuncked I reload. Otherwise most everyone would be toast already, ain't that why we have the reload option?

***Spoiler alert!***

Yoshieramo <---SP? on the other hand has been disentgrated. His heart was left on the ground. I shale leave it's cold lifeless sole to suffer for all time, where it landed. His debt to me has been fullfilled One should never betray the Son of Bhall. It sucked cause he is a damm good thief, but he had to go. Rules are rules, and you don't sell out the elf dammit! I'm missing one devine SOLE because of him!
************************************************** ******************************

Nothing even comes close to an Elven Fighting/Mage in terms of versiality, and power (some will argue). Two sword weilding (specialised), hasted, stoneskined, immune to normal weapons; magic weapons; arrows; spell turning, golbed, immune to charm, blured, mirror imaged, etc. Tenser's Transformation is just sick and wrong the way it's written in BGII . F/M's are great in the PnP game too, long as they survive the first few levels.
