My internet is supposively highspeed dsl internet, but its rather slow for a dsl connection... a high connection for me is 333000 bps... and that's low for dls... I'm kind've disappointed in my connection, and my computer is a really good computer, I hardly ever have any problems with it... and just lately I've noticed my computer doesn't like Diablo II: Lord of Destruction no more... for some reason I got alot less lag in the game on dial-up... Plus I've already set my modem and firewall up to allow full access to and from the web from D2 and it works fine for alot of the time, but everyonce and a while it just freezes up completely (computer and all) and then suddenly whole comp just speed bursts... I just wanted to know is there anything I should do to my computer to make it more dsl acceptable (considering my connection was a dial-up before) its a external modem they sent me in mail too... so uh... said it was preferred to be plugged into comp by ethernet (which it is) so I dunno... I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful hints to this.... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Whos your provider, what make/model is the modem, do you have a decent ethernet card to plug it into, run spybotSD and adaware, make sure you have a decent firewall.

My provider is Bellsouth, my modem is a WireSpeed Dual Connect modem, my ethernet card... uh... not sure... and I have both and run both, and I have a firewall, but firewall just further slows my gameplay.. so its off during my video games....
