My first indoor triathlon...
... is today. My wife questions my sanity, since according to her, people really train for months for these things.
But since it's 15 minutes of swimming, biking, and running, I figure I can do that without too much difficulty. And I have been doing some training for it... just not excessively. Or obsessively. My daughter's doing the triathlon with me... with luck, I'll be able to keep her in sight More later, after the race is over and the body has reacted....

Re: My first indoor triathlon...
And the results are in... I finished. Not first, second, or third... possibly last. My daughter, however, came in first and now has a nice shiny medal
Now, to go nap for the next three hours...

Re: My first indoor triathlon...
Thanks WR, I'd say I had fun... once I could walk and breathe again
Next time (and I know there will be a next time), I'll need to do just a *wee* bit more practice in the pool. Only easy part for me was the biking... was on autopilot there.

'Course, now that she knows she can kick your arse, there'll be no talking to her.
I guess writing books is not the best form of training. |

Re: My first indoor triathlon...
Apparently, swimming, riding, and running are better ways to train That said, I'm somewhat happy to say I didn't finish last in my age group.
Nope. Did not end up last. The three guys who signed up and didn't show up? They finished behind me, leaving me with a slight grasp on a slim shred of dignity.
