I have tree-surfed to the lost sea area to get seeds, and it does work. Only thing you have to do (which shouldn't be an issue by that point) is to know the call of home spell; otherwise, you can't reliably get back. I have never gotten vanish to work and send me over to the Lost Sea area. And I've tried all the thin wall areas... guess I'm not special enough. And as for money cheats, the only one I don't consider a cheat is the selling of enchanted arrows that you make through fletchery. I consider buying and reselling to really be a cheat, but I confess I've occasionally committed arbitrage in that fashion. Especially when I want to level up quickly.
