I've now heard several people mention bags of holding. I was just wondering where I could get my hands on one of these, as they would be quite helpful.

There's one at Spellhold. I think it's the only one in the game, but there are more in ToB if you've got that as well

SPOILER ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; You can find the bag of holding inside the Asylyum dungeon in chapter 4,, i made sure i found it because, yes, it is one of the most usefull items in te game because i use it to haul around all of the platemail armour that i get from killing bandits ad the like, and the bag never gets heavier than 5 POUNDS! a great deal!

The Bag of Holding may be the underdog Most Valuable Item in BG2.
Minor Spoiler . . . . . . . . . . It really becomes valuable when you're in the Underdark and you start finding that Drow Full Plate +5. You'll want to stow your tank's regular armor in the Bag of Holding and put on the +5 plate while you remain in the Underdark!!! It's great to be able to store a few hundred pounds of armor the Bag of Holding. |

correct, but remember to take it out just _before_ you leave the underdark. i still bear the scars of forgetting that.
theres also one in the unofficial BG1 expansion, Dark Side of the Sword Coast. dunno where, dunno if it follows you scross. dont think it would.
