To answer the three new questions...
WHAT WERE YOU DOING WHEN YOU HEARD OF THE ATTACKS ON 9-11-2001? I was woken up at about 11:30am by a phone call from Debaser who informed me of what was going on. Most of the professors here cancelled class so I stayed home all day watching the news and anxiously chain smoking. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MESSAGE FORUM ON IRONWORKS? General Discussion, followed closely by BGII:SoA. HOW DID YOU FIND IRONWORKS AND THE FORUM? To be honest I can't quite remember, but I assume I was doing some sort of search for BG help, utilities, etc. and came across ol' Ironworks. Glad I did. ------------------ a bunch of long hairs. trux |

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A BOARD MEMBER?
Since the beginning of December 2000 - 10 months WHAT'S YOUR REAL FIRST NAME? Claude (The Lady version ) GOT ANY ANIMALS? 2 cats, Crapote and Zebulon Crapote was given her name in memory of one of my favourite AD&D DM (not dead, mind, just got married ...), who used to call us "Crapaud" (toad) when we players surprised him , but as Crapote is a lady-cat, she got 'Crapote' instead - which is NOT the feminine version of Crapaud, just a made-up word APARTMENT, HOUSE, HIGHRISE OR TOWNHOUSE? House ! Otherwise, how could I host 4 IW members at the same time ! ARE YOU RELIGIOUS? Nope. Atheist. BALL POINTS OR FELT TIPS? Uh - Felt tips, I guess ... WHY DO YOU PLAY RPGS? Why ? The fun ! Fun to be someone totally opposite to the person I am in RL - not totally opposite, really, just not very concerned about responsibility (my favourite character is a chaotic neutral thief) WHAT CAR/TRUCK DO YOU DRIVE? A small French car - a Clio DO YOU CLICK ON ZIROC'S SPONSOR'S ADS? (Located at http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks ?) Sometimes (guilty look) WHAT KIND OF WORK DO YOU DO (OCCUPATION)? Software computer engineer WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF MUSIC (COUNTRY, ROCK, POP, BLUES, CLASSICAL, ETC.)? Many, really - except techno HOW MANY BROTHERS AND SISTERS? 1 sister, 9 years older than me WHICH IS BETTER, MOUNTAINS OR BEACHES? Beaches ! I live in the moutains IF YOU WENT ON "SURVIVOR," WHAT LUXURY ITEM WOULD YOU CHOOSE? A book - any book with a sufficient number of pages - maybe the last Robert Jordan WOT book. CHIPS OR DORITOS? Uh - what are doritos ? WHAT WAS YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE (DREAMING KIND)? I want to go somewhere, but I can't, for any number of reasons. WHAT DO YOUR FAMILY/FRIENDS THINK OF YOU SPENDING TIME ON THIS BOARD? Curious - and very enthusiastic about the IW people I happen to meet in RL. WHAT'S YOUR TOP 3 FAVORITE GAMES OF THE PAST 2 YEARS? Ultima IX - BG II - Ages of Empire DEATH PENALTY OR NOT? NOT !!! How can you revive a dead person ? What if the judgement is proven wrong ? And, in some cases, being locked in jail for the rest of one's life is more appropriate than a quick death, especially for crimes against humanity. ARE YOU PLANNING ON STICKING AROUND ON THIS BOARD? Of course ! WHAT WERE YOU DOING WHEN YOU HEARD OF THE ATTACKS ON 9-11-2001? I was just off work - I heard of them several hours after it happened. I learned about them by the Board, BTW. I spent a bit of time trying to understand what happened from the comments on the Board - had some trouble getting the full extent of the disaster. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MESSAGE FORUM ON IRONWORKS? GD, then Books, then Polls HOW DID YOU FIND IRONWORKS AND THE FORUM? Pure chance ! And Copernic. I was bored at work, so I searched BG II on Copernic - got a load of links, so I closed my eyes and clicked on one at random - it was IW. ------------------ The world is my oyster ! Is there any way to get Moiraines on prescription ? I am sure they would become the most popular anti-depressant of all time almost immediately ...

Regarding Sept11. I had just finished Final Fantasy 9 for the first time. I had the day off college, and I remember pushing the power button on my PSX. The playstation flicked off, and a close up of a building on fire came on. It took a couple of seconds to realise,,,,,,then I ran downstairs and watched on the big tv.......I watched it all from when the 1st building was hit. Then i rang my parents and asked em if they had heard the news. |
