I mean besides being old, fat, tired and rather clueless...

I mentioned on the old board that I was having problems seeing updates of posts without quitting the forum then coming back in. A few mentioned the new board should fix this. It hasn't so it must be me. Any suggestions?

By the way, I do realize this is not "real time/chat." Just wondering if there are any settings I can change to fix the problem. I've looked about but nothing jumps out at me (except my damned cat).

How do you get back to the original post listings?

If you use your browser's back button (or the drop down list), you will literally go back to your old page -- with no updates. If you use the navigation buttons in the window (click on the GO button in the bottom right corner) you will see a refreshed page.

Not meaning to be... whats the word... ergh... umm... (Now who's the dummy)... I mean, if you have already tried this, or are aware of this, then I mean you no offence with my "simple" advice.

But, have you used the "Refresh" button on your Web Browser?

NotAtAllIdiotRogue, two questions :

- Have you set your Internet refresh option to "Every visit to the page" ?
- If you are connected to Internet via a LAN (as I am at work), then a real up-to-date refresh can take a while. Are you ?

I am on a dial-up connection from home. I have tried the refresh button on my browser, used the "go" button at the forum's bottom right (with and without re-selecting), tried switching to another message board within BGII and coming back but nothing seems to work.

I am glad that I am not the only one with this problem. I wonder if it has anything to do with my server's access lines. Out here in the country (and I mean *C*O*U*N*T*R*Y*, our only ISP option is Billy Joe Bob's Barbecue Pit-Oil and Lube-Custom Snakeskin Boot Emporium and Internet Service Provider (see our ad under 'Taxidermi' on the billboard near the interstate).
