Sorry this is probably in somewhere but i couldn't find it.

I had a problem with Win XP and didn't know about the town quest in valia untill MUCH later on (I had cleared out the snake temple) I went back and did the first two town quests but when i was asked to kill Juba near lake nymph I couldn't find him

Is he somewhere else I have searched everywhere for him. Is it possible that i have killed him already but the town man won't credit me for it.

Welcome to the board, Bees. We are always happy to see new faces around here.

I do not think we have yet been able to pinpoint the exact spawning location of Juba Thobers - as opposed to for example Mon the Sculz who spawns in the ravine just by the millhouse. Generally he can be found if one starts by walking the north trail from Valeia to the snake river. But do not worry, you will encounter him eventually. He is looking for you.

He looks like one of the ordinary trolls which you have probably always killed by the dozen, however his name will appear when you place the cursor over him.

Welcome to the board, Bees. May you find fame and fortune throughout the Gael Serran, and fun and folly in the inns...

The good news is that he isn't dead yet. If you had killed him, the quest would not appear. Head off in the general direction that bsftcs indicated, and if nothing else, just sit -- he WILL hunt you down.

Just be patient, and you'll get 'im. The reveal spell can be a friend with this one... just to see what's moving around on you

That Juba Thobers can be a real nuisance to find! This time round I found him near the cemetary gates, just as I was trying to get back with only one person alive! I am really trying not to cheat this time???! So it is muuuuuch harder! Sometimes he appears near the town gates at Valaia. Sometimes down near the Snake River as has already been suggested. Keep on keeping on! This game is the best I have ever played! It takes some strategy and patience but you always win in the end! By the way welcome to the Board! I have not been on for at least a year, and boy have I missed everyone!

Juba Thobers:

1. He appears only when you have the quest. You need not fear that you kill him "out of order".

2. He seems to start his movement from a location on the trail from the horse to the lake. Once you get the quest, go to the horse and check the trail.
Note: there are three exits from the clearing with the house:
a) The one leading to the Valeia gates.
b) The one going to the way from Valeia to the lake.
c) The one leading to the lake directly. Juba Thobers will be here.

The "kill Juba Thobers quest" is the second quest given by the governor in the town hall of Valeia. He is a troll that spawns by Nymph Lake once the quest is undertaken.

I've never bothered to get the 2nd quest from him. Is there a 3rd one as well?
