Just out of curiosity, what are those things and how do they help you get energized in the morning?

I sit at a computer within the computer room at the TAB head office (ie, where all the 100+ servers are) with 3 other people. We do miscellaneous tasks during our 12 hour shifts... and sit around and fix peoples problems if and when they DO ring.

Theres probably about 4 hours work on a day shift and 3 hours on a night shift.... without taking calls and problems.

That leaves a lot of time... but, they ALWAYS need someone here, so, thats me.

It's a video/arcade game, stands for Dance Dance Revolution. Basically theres a pad you step on with four arrows going up, down, left, right. It plays music, usually techno (the game not the pad ) and then on the screen the arrows come up and you step on the correct ones on the pad as directed. It's like an aerobic work out ^^ And it's not easy either

It's exactly like that, minus the Richard Simmons get up

G'day one and all!
Its back to the classroom for me tomorrow, I've got a Civil Aviation Authority course to sit for three days and an exam to pass. It's for the airframe differences between the Boeing 747-400, which I’m licensed on, and the new 'extended range’ version. Qantas bought 6 of them last year and when (if) I pass I will finally have all the licences on our international fleet. Wish me luck ... well wish me 'stay awake’ whenever I go back into the classroom I always feel sleepy!

Wow!! That sounds like fun Wellard, I used to want to be a pilot, but those hopes were kind of shot down when I realised I was destined to be a slacker and my marks dropped, but we will see what happens after my HSC is finished (only 2 weeks until them!!!)

LadyZ, they banned use of hand held cellphones up here but you can still use the hands free sets. Unfortunately, I've not seen any fewer people driving and HOLDING a cellphone since the law took effect over a year ago. Had a woman in a huge SUV nearly run us over one day because she was busy yakking into her phone and not paying a bit of attention to the fact that I was in the space she was trying to occupy at the time! Sheesh...then she cut us off and continued YAKKING on the danged phone! Even held up traffic at the intersection while she chatted on her phone....If I'd had a cell phone I'd have reported her sorry butt to the cops with it!

Wellard, good luck on your class and exam...keep your eyes open!

Just a word of warning, watch out. One of my mates went to a Slayer/Slipknot concert at weekend and was in the mosh pit. It turned into a total brawl and one guy just kept punching him in the face, for no reason at all. Then he got his chest stomped on and just generally got nailed. Although there was a funny part to the story, some other big nailer picked him up and moved him out the way and then battered the guy who was continually punching him...still...wish I'd been there

How long was IW down for? I only tried logging in the once before this, glad to see that there was no permanent damage dealt.
