After Asylum, I have some alternatives. I can go through the portal, also pirate can take me there. Which you advice?

Pirate takes you to fish city. Go there..as there is a damn good cloak.

Also I noticed that you cant get in Asylum with pirate if you dont have minsc in your party. Actualy if you have Yoshimo you can get in with the pirates.

you can get in through the pirates without minsc or yoshimo.
