Soul Caliber 2-Tips?

Ok, I got this game today for the Gamecube, and ive already made it to the final battle in Weapon Master mode, Link, Nightmare and the guy with the giant globe in his chest (starts with an M) are so far my favourite characters, they are also the only ones I have used.
EDIT, cant belive I forgot VOLDO, he too is very cool.
Anyway, I havnt finished ALL of the levels because im still having difficulty.
I do enjoy fighting games, but I have a problem...
GUARDING!! I just cant do it.. Well I can, I just choose not to, I dont know why but I never do it.
I have still managed to get fairly far and unlock a crapload of stuff but was wondering who would be best for a person who does not like blocking, also where do I get weapons for the guy with the globe in his chest?

Hmmm, you don't like to block so you'll probably want to use a fighter with a lot of speed, not someone like Nightmare because being as slow as he is, he has to block on occasion. I'd suggest using Talim or if you like a character with a longer reach, Kilik. You get the weapons for Necrid (man with the globe in his chest) the same way you get everyone else's weapons.

As for blocking, use the the same advice I gave in the other thread.
