Default Okay, DC Universe online looks awesome

Looks like everything City of Heroes should have been. I predict this will be a very hyped-up MMO as we near the release date, I am pleasantly surprised with the gameplay and graphics...a little sorry that Marvel didn't beat them to it and get their asses into action but, to the victor go the spoils. My big concern, is content. This can make or break any game with a great combat engine. But yeah, not a huge DC fan but, for example, Superman looks great in this game, reminds me of the vintage DC graphics.

Personally I'm more interested into Champion Online, the follow up to City of Heroes.

It's got great customization, and they learned from their mistakes and this time around are going to have loot, more involved missions, greater freedom in getting powers, and you can create your own nemesis to fight against on missions.

I tried it in beta, and honestly, within 10 minutes I exited the game. The graphics we're horrid and the sounds were ripped from CoH. Has it gotten better? This was months ago in early beta and I haven't been back since. I keep getting offers to come back in my email though.

Looks about as silly as CoH to me....and I love superheroes - problem is Superheroes are only Super when being special - and make up a whole game filled with them kinda inflates the idea.

That's the least of my issues. And actually I think that the superhero thing translates well to MMO's. When you look at Marvel or DC there's tons of superheroes with their own comics and crossovers, and most of them all exist in the same city, fighting crime either alone or on whole teams. My main issue with CoH (and I think everyone else's) was content. I played it for a few months, was great fun for awhile.

Well we'll see. But I think despite the brand name in the long run Champion Online will live longer than DC online.
