I have completed the game 5 times, and I have played short passages of the game numerous times on top of that to conduct experiments. I still discover new things when I play, and when I read this forum, though. So I definitely reccomend at least one replay using all the spoilers available.

Being the boring loser that I am, I have repeatedly played this game then wizardry 8, then this game again, etc., yadda yadda, and so on, ad nausium, never once thinking, "hey, I should buy something new." But it was only on my very last playthrough that I actually saw the belfry or got 3 glowstones! So there's always something new to encounter. Even if the new things aren't exactly Gael-shattering.

I also read LotR every year and have for at least the last 20 or more. One day I found a fair lass who had done the same. So I married her!

Excellent!!
Christopher Lee reads LOTRs every year too - and he actually met Tolkien many years ago!
I read LOTR about every 5 to 7 years or so. Last year I read the book while listening to a quite wonderful audio version. That was most enjoyable. Not sure I will do that next time I read the books - I can read faster than I can listen.

i think there are too many exploitable bugs like the duplicating gold bug and duplicating objects and also another one wich i never saw being mentioned on the forum.

the bug ---> take a character, make him take a quest to switch class (lets say a warrior taking the paladin quest) and then go in the guild that the other class would normaly let you in (in that example it would be the priest guild) and then cancel the quest by going in the class change menu and clicking on the class again (paladin) then the quest will get canceled, you'l still have your old class (warrior) and be in both guilds. you can do that as many times as you want but you need high enough stats to do it so you cant do it at the start of the game (unless you feed the character anks or if hes/she's from another game).

its usefull if you want to get in another guild but dont want to switch class.

personnaly i like sticking to the original classes cuz i dont like mixes like fighters that can heal themselves and cast firestorm or wizards that kick ass with swords

and for that reason i have a party of 4, one fighter, one priest, one wizard and one rogue (i dont know why i would need more than one of any of those)

The best thing of all... if you don't like those bugs, don't use 'em I confess that I do, on some occasions, utilize things like the guild hopping cheat and arbitrage. I don't use the inn gold cheat, and I don't think I use any others.

And I just realized you're from Zimbabwe - I don't think we have many members from there, so I think that's cool Welcome again

You cannot use the lamp on your enemies. You have to use the lamp on one of your own characters. The Djinni will then appear and offer you a choice of a range of items or stat increases, etc.

BUT... read the 'best tips' on this before invoking it, so you don't lose out on the opportunity to maximize the benefits for your entire party!
