VFW Members Duct Tape Flag Burner to Pole
Watch the video interview
Short version: one guy went to a VFW bar & tried to order a drink. No ID, no drink. He left the bar, pulled their flag down off the pole, and burned it. The VFW post commander tracked him down and they agreed a proper punishment was for him to be duct-taped to the flagpole with a sign explaining what he'd done... IMO, justice was served, without involving expensive lawyers and tying up (no pun intended) the legal system. Win-win.

"He sobered up, agreed it was better to be taped up then have his ass kicked by the town and paid his contrition. The guy who taped him up insisted that his name and face not to be shown on the news so there were no more reprisals to him or his family and they are all square.

I doubt this is anywhere near over. There will be a liberal civil rights lawyer calling for a civil suit at the least, following this matter up.

what's he gonna argue, that his client is protected under Amendment 1 to burn someone else's flag?
The guy was given the choice between the duct-taping and legal action, and chose duct-tape. Any lawyer that pursues this further must have lost his suit pants at a korean drycleaners.
