You didn't give him enough money.

I've always found that a $100 bill in place of a tooth always makes the child happy about the tooth fairy.

When my daughter lost her first tooth, she got a dollar from the tooth fairy. She was also really interested in getting an American Girl doll at that point, and was trying to figure out how long it would take until she lost enough teeth to get one.

I tried explaining that at a buck a tooth, with a max of 32 teeth in her mouth, she wasn't going to be able to buy an AG doll (retail around $90) that way...

She later got one, and didn't try to knock out any more teeth. Her brother knocked out one of hers, but I'm pretty sure it was an accident.

Stormy, you might ask Caleb why he wants to have his tooth back. Is it because he wants to do some show and tell with it, or it was gone too quickly? Perhaps the Tooth Fairy might agree to a brief re-loan of the tooth for a couple of days...

I have a friend who was so happy to get the money that after his mother explained it to him he progressively started trying to get rid of his other teeth, using his fathers toolbox mind you...

Needless to say that guy is rich today... Always had the go go enterprenuer spirit...

Well this isn't helpful but when I was young I used to get money multiple times... because the toothfairy would forget teeth and give me money again! Hehe. So don't do that!
