Depending on one's philosophy, the value of life is relative. However, I would suggest that in light of the variety of beliefs and experiences, we would do well to consider life as of utmost value and sanctity. And therefore, if you are inclined to fight in a war, then do so, but mind that you take only those who you must and particularly only those who subscribe to the taking of life.

All human life is very valuable. We make that a daily tenet around here, especially since Belle's first child, Taylor, got a job as an angel.

Unfortunately, many in the world do not share this view. The world is as it is; this sometimes means that wars will be fought, whether we like it or not. Those wars are sometimes for good reasons (trying to battle those who aggressively attack other nations) and sometimes not (wanting to gain new territory or resources). The best we can do is strive to be our best on a personal level.
